Welcome to The Handle Studio's first blog post, where we hope to give you an insight into the company and where it all came about.
Mark Jones, the company director, left school in 1987 to become a bench joiner. He joined a local well established joinery firm where he served out his apprenticeship and learned the trade. He left in 2001 to start his own joinery company, installing and building various types of handmade furniture in the home and workplace.
The Handle Studio business started back in 2005, running along side Mark's own joinery work. It all came about with a customer paying over the odds for handles that she had purchased from B&Q for her kitchen. Mark's own supplier for his screws and fixings was the same as B&Q's. "Why should customers be paying extortionate prices for these handles, when I can provide them for less?" he thought... Enter The Handle Studio!
We became a limited company back in 2011. Mark took a step back from the joinery trade and began to focus more on The HANDLE Studio business. The company has slowly grown over the years, supplying the general public, and to those in the trade industry. We always aim to provide the same level of service to each and every customer we deal with.
